    Hey Major and everyone!

I am trying to mux an m2v and .mp2 file into an MPEG-2 .mpg file for use on a PC that must be a .mpg file. I've been looking around and FFMPEGX looks like the way to go with the tools tab and using "mux as - DVD Mpeg2". When I hit the "Mux as" button, the process viewer comes up and I immediately get an error. The log says too many frames were dropped.

Am I missing something? I checked the docs on the major4 website but didn't see much about this mux tool. Thanks for any help!

    oh yeah..

Here's how I got the elementary streams...

DVD -> .mov qt file using DVDxDV
.mov file -> .m2v and .aiff file using Compressor with MPEG-2 Setting
converted .aiff file -> .mp2 file using MPEG2Works

So I've got an mp2 file with 48Khz and a m2v file that should be fully DVD compliant straight from Apple's Compressor program..

Both elem streams play perfect in Quicktime (I made them the same name+extension so QT would pick up the audio eg. movie.m2v and movie.mp2)

Now I'm trying to mux these back together to .mpg so I can send it to my PC for use in a presentation program that only likes .mpg (mpeg1 or mpeg2) files.

Anyone have any ideas how to do this muxing? I can't get FFMPEGX to do it it seems...

  3. Please give more details about your ultimate goal. If you start from a VIDEO_TS folder and need a MPG file then almost all of your steps are unnecessary.

For example, you can use 0SEx to obtain in a single step the elementary video and audio files.

You can also get mp2 audio from a VOB file by using ffmpegX "Movie audio to mp2" quick preset.
