Using DVD maestro, and on my DVD I have several small transition movies. Each one seems to do a "freeze-frame" and ends too early, several frames before the ending of the clip, when it transitions to the next movie. Is there a buffer or amount of empty frames that have to be included at the end of a movie to prevent this from happening?

Maybe this question is too newbie?
I searched pretty aggressively to make sure I couldn't find the answer elsewhere, but I will continue trying. I should add that the mpeg2 files that are getting cut short in the final compliled VOB are encoded in Tmpg, and that I have tested them; they play out to their full length in WMP or PowerDVD.
