[a] Have you read this site? It has all the information you need, including links to tutorials.

[b] An AirPort base station and AirPort cards, or a general (wireless) router and ethernet cables or wireless cards.

    1. read the stickey entitled, New to Mac Video... It will help you search for what you want
    2. you can have multiple macs connected to one broadband connection
    a. via a normal router [cable/dsl router will split the signal for multiple comptuers]
    b. via a normal 802.11b wireless router [regular airport if by apple or any 802.11b wireless router if by belkin, d-link etc] the compters need a wireless card and they can access the internet wirelessly
    c. via a extreme 802.11g wireless router [airport extreme if by apple or any 801.11g router if belkin, d-link etc]

802.11b wont slow the internet down at all, so the speed of your net is the speed of the wireless internet. Transfer speeds between two macs for file sharing is 11mbs
802.11g wont slow the internet down at all either, however transfer speeds of two macs connected is 54 mbs!

    does this help you?
