NEC 2500A and Apex AD600A

Hello, I just purchased NEC 2500A and started to burn backups of few movies using Riteks G04, Nero 6.3 and DVDCrypter. My Apex AD600A DVD Player doesnt want to play those discs (disc error message) although I had no problems what so ever when I used my Sony DRX500UL. I have a DVD-ROM in my other computer which playes those discs without a problem. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Whats the book type on the dvds?

Please note that I have an Apex AD600A (or is it an AD660A?) and it has never been able to play any DVD that I have authored. I have finalized many DVD-R's on my Panasonic DMR-HS2, and authored & burned many on my computer, and none of them play on my Apex (but they play on everything else I have.)

The AD-600A is now a very old model and it's only claim to fame was the loophole menu that allowed you to turn off macrovision. It was built before most DVD formats were finalized so it should surprise no one it has problems playing burned disks. I owned an AD-600A and one the best things I did was to sell it.

It seems to play the discs if they are burned at 2x. I guess it's also time to get a new dvd player. 8)
