  1. I'm a little upset here. The guy who did my sister's wedding video didn't do it very well. He got the year wrong, names wrong and no menu, cmonnn it's DVD !!!!!!!

So I Plan to rip the movie and repair a few things add menu and turn it into a better DVD.
I know I can rip the files using DVDDecrypter. However, if I edit the ripped video files, I have to reencode it to make it into DVD, right ??? Then If I reencode it, will there be a loss of quality? since it's recompressing what have been compressed before.

    Thanks alot in advance.

Use DVDShrink in reauthor mode -- keeping the good 'scenes'
Do reauthor AGAIN with bad scenes (will become clear in a moment)

Make a new : intro (mpeg2) with correct date / names.

Use DVD2AVI to extract the audio from the "bad scenes"

Use IFO Edit and same length MPEG2(video) intro as audio from the original 'bad scenes' and create a new *.vob file.

Use DVD author program to import VOBs - create menus and author.
DeMUX if author program insists on elementry streams.
