  1. I have an MPEG movie saved on my hard drive that's around 2 hours long. Is there any way possible to encode this movie to fit on a regular CD in VCD form. I'm totally new to this whole thing, and couldn't find a guide that showed me how. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  2. There is no way to do it and still keep it within the VCD specification. You can use a program like TMPGENc to re-encode and lower the bitrate, but how much less than 1150 will you be willing to accept on the bitrate?

It's either bump up and go bigger(DVD-VCD) or span discs IMHO.

Search kvcd , that's your only option for a single CDR.

1150kbps equates to 70min on a CD-R. This means that you would have to re-encode to around the 600kbps mark using TMPGEnc. You would then be creating an XVCD because it would not comply to the "true" VCD standard. A fair few DVD players would still play it though. If I were doing it and it was a must to fit on 1 cd I would use 2-pass VBR because it should give an overall better finish than CBR.
    If in doubt, Google it.
