For now on Please state if your DVD Recorder is NTSC or PAL

One of the reason I am asking for people to please state if there DVD recorder is NTSC or PAL. I have read about the Pioneer 510 PAL version to be very good but the NTSC is no so so. So for now please take NTSC or PAL. Also me state when you bought your player and what media you use. Thank you.

If you are talking about set-top DVD Recorders.....there is no difference between PAL and NTSC models recording capabilities. The DO have a difference in TUNERS and REGION SETTINGS.

Hi hech54 the only reason I ask the Pioneer 510 I read some many different thing's on this unit and on another post some one state that the PAL version was better. And they state the SP mode was good but some one else state that the NTSC SP recording mode was not so good.

Well .... quality is subjective think so it is hard to devide them like that...

But on the other hand, I saw diferences in NTSC or PAL recorders. I guess. For example EU version of Panasonic DMR-HS2 has some kind of Q-Link function that I can't seem to find in US manual.

I think Q link is their term for quickly recording whatever you are already watching. It relies on the SCART socket / cable connecting the recorder to the tv being fully wired and so allowing the recorder to record back down the line from the TV. My guess would be since US models dont(?) have SCART sockets they also don't have this feature.
