1. Although it works fine with bought (pressed) DVDs, my Panasonic DMR E-50 has problems with automatic widescreen switching on home-made DVD-Rs.

I record on DVD-RAM, then copy this to my computer so I can make menus etc. I then amend the flags to be 16:9 format and copy back to a DVD-R. On my computer this disk then plays perfectly then adjusts the screen format as it should. However, on my TV I need to manually adjust the screen format for the program. But… it DOES automatically adjust to my home-made widescreen menus

    Any ideas please?

    Hi there

you may want to pop over to
    http://
<a class="contentlink" href="http://www.thewholewideweb.com/forum/defau...ID=7
They have quite a bit of information about widescreen recordings in there although I believe they are talking about the hs2 hard disk model dubbing to DVD-RAM/R.. might help though

    Cheers

  3. Thanks Ed,

They don't seem as technical as this site but it's good to find a forum dedicated to Pannys. Thanks - much appreciated
