  1. Hey ppl,

I have here a 3 DVD set of a movie, all ripped and such, but...

What I want to do is join the VOBs from all 3 DVD's to on huge folder of about 15Gig and then encode it to a high quality XViD/DiVX.

I do want to include the subtitles, preferrably selectable (SRT or SUB) or, if not possible permanently in the movie.

Who can help me out here please?

Theres a couple of ways to do it - depends on your ability which way you do it.

    1. Use VOBEdit - Pretty involved, but great output.
    2. Use VirtualDub MPEG2.
    3. Use whatever you use to do DVD 2 AVI and then use virtualdub to join.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. I think I stick to the VOBEdit part, TMPGEnc is great software, but I want to have more control over what happens.

And Converting before joining is not the way I would do this *ever*.

You could use ReJig, which can load any # of VOBs and then demux the video or audio stream as one file. Then encode these to DivX/XviD. The subs are harder - rip them individualy with SubRip, then join them using SubtitleStudio.
