mpeg 1 in virtual dub?

when i load my first file into v dub it tells me it is "parsing interleaving Mpeg"?

what is this?

and also when i then come to load my second file that i want to connect it will not give me the option?

Why?

Also how do you get around the "cannot append segment" in v dub when joining files?All help is much appreciated..........

Far as i know you can't append mpeg files in VirtualDub, they have to be converted to AVI first. Thats probably what your seeing when the message "Parsing MPEG file" appears.

If the bitrates are the same in your Mpeg1 files you could try a file merger first, then load the resulting file into VDub.
