Good call! This is a good one. I already retransmit my satellite TV content with my analogue video to DV bridge box to my Mac buddies, who take turns reserving shows, as only one person can watch a show at a time. Now my Windows-using friends can join in the fun. I hope it's an acceptable client for them, though, as most have migrated to Trillian or GAIM or something. Fortunately for us, iChat is a nice little AIM client, and is guaranteed not to get disconnected by AOL, unlike some of the others... Anyways, this was big news for me.

Likewise for me. My wife and I have several really close friends who are pc users and we have been trying to figure out a way to stay in concact with each other since our move recently.

I have literally tried EVERY cross platform chat app and none of them work well. Squid cam is the one that came close, but you had to $$ for it, and it was not anything like iChat for quality

we fired up a chat and talked a good 1.5 hours with no interruption in AV, just like us mac users are use to

Sorry I can't think of anything to add. iChat and I don't get along.
If it isn't broken, take it apart and find out why.

Just a quick question, does the new compatibility require the PC user to have a Firewire cam?

    hahahahah

    back to topic

I have tested it with 2 PC friends
    it works beautifully

They were really impressed with the quality of iSight camera
both had XP so i cant confirm anything about W2k compatibility or firewire cameras on PC because they both have USB cameras
