Hi there,
I consider myself to be quite useful with DVDLab, but this one has me pulling my hair out.
Having converted an AVI (630x352) to MPEG2 with AVI2DVD (v1.2.1) I successfully authored a DVD (720x480) with 4:2 menus etc... but upon playing, the edges of the movie get cropped by about 20 pixels each side when I view it on my widescreen TV. (the TV is set to FULL)
Play the same video_ts (authored onto my HD) with PowerDVD and you can see the picture in its entirety.
My Project properties in system has the 16:9 Display mode set to 'Automatic - Player Decide'. Could this be the problem?
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers...

That would be Overscan, a PC monitor will always show more image than a TV.
Part of a TV screen is hidden beneath the case, if you notice when your making the menus in DVD Lab, that it caters for that.
If the sides being cropped are a problem, though it usually isn't then you'll have to re-encode the video, and use avisynth to re-size it with small borders round the image.
