  1. I have a rush hour 2 dvd that has a scratch. It is an unimportant and lame scene that I want to take out. That is the scene where the scratch is located. Is there any software that allows me to take out a certain chapter so I can play the backup dvd without the messed up scene in it?

Is it so badly scratched that you cannot rip the dvd to hard drive? Think you'll be struggling if you can't.

  5. Can you "open" it in DVD Shrink? If so, you can use the "Start/End" function in re-author mode. Put two instances of the movie in the re-author window, use "Start/End" just before the bad chapter on the first instance, and "Start/End" for the remainder of the movie, after the bad chapter, on the second instance. You will end up with two titles on the resulting DVDR, but it should play fine (minus the bad chapter.)

Hope this makes sense. Of course, the above method won't work if the DVD is too damaged to "open" in DVD Shrink.
