  1. hmmmm, well I tried searchin' the forums and I found similar threads but I didn't find the answer that I was looking for...

    Anyways, here's the situation...
I have a mds/mdf file (DVD image file) on my computer.
I tried burning it using Alcohol 120% and my DVD player won't play it.
It plays fine on my computer, using Win DVD5 (and daemon tools). I get that stupid 321studios warning at the very beginning

I know for a fact that my DVD plays DVDrs fine...
hmmm any ideas on how to fix this?

    thnx,
    taco

  2. Have you made any other DVDR's that work on your DVD player? Are you using +R or -R?

  3. Have you played DVDR's burned from YOUR burner?
My old DVD player would play a +R burned from friends computer, but not from my TDK +R burner. All kinds of wacky compatability with burnin DVD's.

Yes, I've made a few DVD-Rs that play on my DVD player..
    I have Pioneer A05 so I can't write +Rs

You might want to try backing up the DVD using a totally different set of software. You mention the 321 warning so I assume X Copy was used. Maybe try using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink instead.

My Norcent stand-alone player does not like .IFO files created by IfoEdit for some reason. For example I tried to rip a movie only using DVD Decrypter, then I'd create a new set of .IFOs for it using IfoEdit and burn with Nero. Discs I made that way didn't work at all in the Norcent but they played fine on my PC. Since I started using DVD Shrink I haven't had a problem so my player must like those .IFO files better.
