  1. hi guys

just finished ripping some clips from various dvds and im authoring them with TMPGEnc DVD Author with AC3 plugin, and when i have come to author (output) i get this error for like 8 of the clips ive ripped from vatious dvds:

*The combined bitrate of the clip exceeds the upper limit for a standard DVD.

The combined bitrate of the video and audio of clip "xxxx" of track "xxxx" is exceeding the upper limit for a standard DVD.
The current bitrate is xxx kbps for video, xxx kbps for audio, and xxx kbps combined.
It is necessary with a combined bitrate of less than 9.848Mbps (9848kbps).
i ripped the clips using dvd shrink (reauthor mode)

then used Rejig to demux the video and audio and added them to dvd author.

anyone know how i can get rid of this error, what do i need to do exactly?

    any help appreciated, thanks

I don't think you will have a problem with this DVD

It could be that the header information is wrong but that the actual bitrates used are ok.

This can happen with CINEMA CRAFT ENCODER when you set it to MAKE COMPLIANT DVD it will set the header to the MAX bitrate even though you might be using a lower bitrate.

TMPGEnc DVD Author only reads the header and gives you that "error" message.

So my guess here is that the same thing is happening and the bitrates used are A-OK but the header info is "messing" up TMPGEnc DVD Author. Just ignore the "error" emssage and continue.

I doubt you will have any problems or issues.
