I have made SVCDs from divx files which were in 480x480 resolution or better, but make xvcds if the divx resolution is less than 480 x 480.
If the resolution of the divx file is less than 480 x 480, how will the svcd look? Will I be better off making an xvcd? Thanks
Raz

yep. better off making an XVCD, because it wont look good if you stretch the resolution. it depends. If your divX is say something like 640x352 then use SVCD, but if its 352x240 then dont. i make SVCD's out of all my DVD Rip's and the vertical resolution is sometimes below 480 but it still turns out good.
