  1. Can antone help me here. I got the Adaptec VideOh! dvd media center, usb 2.0 edition, for cable tv capturing (for myself). It was fairly staright forward on setting up but for some strange reason i am getting no sound??
    ive tried truning up the volume on the cable set top box, turening all options on on my soundcard, and still nothing? what im doing wrong...i know its usb 2.0, but is connected to 1.1 for mean time. SasArchiver (scotland)

    1. Upgrade to USB 2.0

    2. Have you plugged the audio leads that come with the device into your sound card ? On saying that I do SKY TV to dvd with it. Plus VCR to dvd I have my VCR pluged into the device via the cables with SKY pliuged into the VCR then the other enmd in the USB device it works great....

    3. upgrade the software if you can afford such as MY DVD 4.5 to 5.0
    then get the patch update from the net....

  3. hey tommy...thx for ur reply.

    I dont need to upgrade to usb 2.0 for meant-time, this will only affect my transfer rate which a sec or 2 delay in getting to comp....I fixed the prob by disabling the device, and reinstalling/updated the drivers, enabled it and works fine....I have it connected to my cable set top box through composite a/v wires,works a treat..

    What a good little media box this is. The quality is suberb...
