  1. Just bought a philips 75 and made myself a few copies of vhs tapes I had with it, I've ripped the contents of the disk to my pc using dvd decryptor in file mode.....All I need to know is whats the best way of editing the menu philips puts on the start up screen, I only require the video....Is there any good guids for this stuff for me standalone to pc editing??

Getting rid of the Philips menu should be done IN DVDDecrypter . I use IFO mode....enable Stream Processing...uncheck "subtitles"(that is the Philips Menu)...then rip to the hard drive.
I then use IFOEdit to create an image of what DVDDecrypter gave me(though it is not REALLY necessary)....then burn the image to the DVDR with either DVDDecrypter or another burning program.

You can also create the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders yourself and then burn to the DVDR. Your choice. I learned the "image" way first so that is why I placed it here first.

I used IFOEdit to create an image because I thought that was the only way... DVDDecrypter can burn ISO images...it was free....I had DVDDecrypter on my computer already.....so I used what I had.
Now that I have learned more....I know that I have more options.
