so you're saying you lose tons of frames if you enable mutli-segment capturing? if so, check where your spill drives are located (in virtualdub). it might be spilling to a different hard drive, or no drive at all! =|

jsut a follow up, I once was able to capture segemented files in viddub useing "compatibility mode" - it worked great with no dropped frames, but Ican't seem to do it again If you have any suggestions please share them THANKS

OK dont ask me why (maybe you can explain it) but when I tried vidcap32 which also creates segemented video files, it works with no problems, now I just need to figure out how to combine the adio and video files (vidcap32 creates seperate files) any help or links is appreciated

I use tmpgenc to join video and audio files. On VIDEO, select the file where you saved it and on AUDIO, select the file where you saved it, configure and hit ENCODE. hope this helps.
