  1. I just downlloaded a new DVD Rip program, called "DVDRIPNBURN". I have been having a little trouble with it, and I would like to know, if anyone has had experience with it? The program is freeware. The problem I am having, is, for some reason, no matter what I do, as far as adjustments go, the program, won't make a full copy, of the DVD, that I am trying to burn. Can someone tell me, what I may be doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance...

  2. My guess would be the free program is just a trial version which won't do a full DVD and you need to pay for the full version.

  3. I just downloaded it and will try it out. There isn't a whole lot of information on it, but here is the website: http://www.dvdripnburn.com/

I wonder what kind of encoder is used and what the quality is like.

To answer the original poster's question, it WONT do a full copy (am taking your comment of making a full copy to mean that it will have menu's etc). What the application will do (and I am guessing, but it makes sense) is that it will backup the movie only to either svcd, vcd, or avi format. It would be great if it did nonstandard cvd because then you could just import the result into a dvd authoring program instead of mucking with the header, etc.

Anyway, short answer is that it will not do what you want, which I guess is to do a full movie back up with menus, etc. I'll try it out and post back the results.

  4. Thanks for the info. The most I could get it to back up, was about 10 mins at the most. that's a shame, because it looks like a simple program to use. I made all kind of adjustments, with no luck...

    I would go with that

  6. Never got a chance to fiddle with it last evening. I was assuming that it was doing just movie only, not just 10 minutes. Some is wrong, but I dont know what. I'll try to take a look and see what the deal is. I am really interested in figuring out how (and what) the encoder does.
