    I want to capture music videos from digital cable and burn them to DVD. I capture with DV/Firewire device.

    What is the recommended software and steps to accomplish this?

    You will need an mpeg-2 encoder first. One of the most popular ones is TMPGEnc Plus, though there are others such as Canopus Procoder and Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder. You will also need a DVD authoring program like DVD Lab or TMPGEnc DVD Author. Make sure you have a DV AVI codec installed too if you don't already.
