Does anyone know if a VCD or SVCD burnt in NTSC format can be played back on a PAL t.v. set? If not, by hacking the region codes to "all regions", would this allow for this. Or is there any way of getting a DVD player to play NTSC discs to a PAL screen. I ask because I have SVCD discs converted from 23.976 fps avi files, which jerk badly when converted to PAL. So I have used NTSC (Film) with dropdown. Thanks.

since (x/s)vcd doesn't use region coding, there is no difference. you could try a media converter between the dvd player and the tv...
