  1. Ok I have some avi and divx movies and would like to watch them on my table top dvd player. The movies I have are too big for 1 vcd using TMPGNec , and it has to be split to 2 disks. My question is there a way to take a 750 meg avi file and placing it on 1 vcd using compression after converting it to vcd format with TMPGNec?
Or is it easier to take the avi and convert it to dvd?
If yes how do you convert avi to dvd , vob files?

    Thanks

The VCD standard uses 1150 kbps bitrate for video which gives about 80 minutes on a CD. If you want to get more minutes per disk then you have to lower the bitrate which reduces quality and gives you an XVCD, or non-standard VCD. Depending on how many minutes you're squeezing you may not notice the difference, also using VBR encoding can help keep quality. Here's a guide.
