    Hello,

In general, what is the best way to compress a HD video in 1280x720?

Quality is more important in size....Does anyone have any suggestions for the what compression type to use (.mp4, .mpeg2, etc...) and what settings to use?

    Thanks

*Quality is more important than size, but a significant compression all the while.

If quality is more important, leave it be.

What is it currently compressed with ? Mediainfo will tell you.

It is, but I still need the file to be compressed into about a gig, and it is about fifteen minutes in length.

Directly from P2 to FCP, and automatically converted to .mov.

Shot on ranging formats of 1080i and mostly 720p
