Did you make all the proper connections in your authoring software? I once imported all the videos, set the chapters, mapped the menu pages, but didn't set a FIRST PLAY item. Without it, your DVD won't play.

  4. In PowerDVD, try using its "file" mode instead of "disc" mode, then open the VIDEO_TS.IFO file of your DVD files set. I am mostly familiar with PowerDVD and WinDVD versions 3.x, but not 4.x.

You could get some DVD video filters from http://www.doom9.org/software2.htm (in the Filters section) and use IFOEdit to do the DVD preview/playback from your hard disk. IFOEdit can open any .IFO file.

  6. I have Power DVD 4.0, the DELL build of it. same problem. I also can't get Media Player 9 to open IFOs created by TDA in file mode either, though it handles other IFOs just fine. use IMG Tools Classic to make an ISO image of your files and mount the image in Daemon Tools. Power DVD will play it fine from there. Also I've got the newest Nero Vision package with Nero's Showtime player in it. It opens the IFOs just fine from the Hard Drive.
