1) alot of users already have nero
20 Nero is excellent
3) Nero recode has My dvdshrnk working on it
4) DVDsrink uses Nero for its burning. -
OK, I’m a little confused, are you referring to Nero Recode or Nero Burning Rom. If your comparing DVD Shrink to Nero Burning Rom you can’t, because Nero Burning Rom is for burning and DVD Shrink is for compressing and ripping the DVD. That’s a whole lot of loud typing (all caps) for a confusing statement.

Unfortunately, you do not need to pass an IQ test to post a comment....

A lot of people listen to some of "us". Why should they assume that "us" is always right when "us" don't always agree?
And I've had a number of errors and bad disks with Nero.
SO WHY DO PEOPLE USE NERO INSTEAD OF RECORD NOW!? -

Actually I didn't have time to check back in till tonight. And it took me a while to read all the immature, crybaby, nonsense responses, instead of people just answering the question. So what if I typed in caps? I wasn't shouting, I just like typing in caps sometimes. And of course someone will probably have a reponse to me say "nonsense, crybaby, etc." by saying that I shouldn't ask nonsense questions in the first place. So on that note, try to come up with a different response. On the original question, I was just curious since obviously everybody who comes here reads the posts, and see's that a large marjority of the questions and problems, result from the use of Nero. I just couldn't figure out why if this program has so much junk happening with it, and people still haven't gotten all the bugs worked out, why are they still wasting discs using it?
P.S. And Foo, well, he just has nothing better to do then post really immature responses to everything. -

OK guys, maybe it wasn't the best question, but this is a pretty complex hobby/interest that we are involved in. With so many programs that do everything and the ones that do just one step in the process, how else but through the infinate wisdom of the group is a brotha supposed to get some decent advice on the subject? If that means asking a dumb question, then so be it. I hope the forum hasn't humiliated this poor soul to the point of giving up on his dream of authoring the ultimate DVD! I hope theres not one more Sony 500-ULX on ebay tonight because of the callous nature of this all knowing group. Ok now I have opened myself up to the wrath of the mob. I hope the original posts author appreciates me throwing myself on the dagger! You guys are great! I love this forum! Peace

I use Nero Recode alot I also use DVDShrink alot It all depends on what I'm doing. I have not burnt a coaster yet.
-
Use Nero for what, burning, shrinking, encoding, authoring. Be a bit more specific and you might get some sensible answers.
I have used nothing but Nero for burning DVD's for over two years. Its has never failed to burn yet. Just because others have problems with a program doesn't mean it is no good for everybody.
BTW, I don't use it for anything else. -
The answer to the original post (which has been stated) is that the latest version of dvdshrink uses nero to burn.
What I usually tell people that say they have an issue with nero whle using dvdshrink, is to try isoshrink, which uses dvddecrypter to burn.
I know that it gets a little frustrating answering the same type of question over and over, however, (and I have had to learn this) is that users' do not read previous threads (although it seems like they all say they do). The have spent X time on their issue and come to this forum to post a question that it personal to them (just like what the initial poster did).
Again, while it is frustrating, you can do a few things:
1)ignore the post
2)give a useless answer (flaming the poster)
3) tell them to read a guide or a previous post (and possibly reference the quide or post(s) you are referring to)
4)Ask for more information
5)Answer the question
Everyone (including myself) has been guilty at one time or another of doing anyone of the above when answering someone.
My question to the poster would be, why do you think that people are posting questions about errors using shrink with nero? Maybe instead of posting this, you could post a guide that explains a number of the common problems associated with nero and shrink and show how to fix it. That way when someone posts the question for the gazollionth time, you could simply refer them to the guide (who knows, it may even be sticky worthy). -
I've been using NERO for a couple of years now. It has NEVER failed to give me an excellent burn, in either DVD-Video, DVD-Data, CD-ROM or CD-Audio. I like the audio-ripping capability on it, too.
