  1. Can the provideo pv-256 capture to avi with the supplied software or possibly with VirtualDub using software codecs?

  2. The Pv256 with it's current drivers is unable to capture an AVI. Although provideo have just released a plugin for videostudio 5 so you would need to find someone who has tried it out. I will be trying out soon. but something tells me it won't.

  3. thanks for the reply. I was really hoping it would because from the sound of it this boards mpeg1/2 hardware encoding is better than the dvcII and the wintv pvr. And i think both of those, maybe just the wintv pvr can also capture avi files.

  4. maybe in fture driver I hope it can be capture to avi and be compatiable with Vdub and Win Media Encoder ....
