    Welcome hairysac

Could you supply the motherboards make and model

From my manual, it went on about something to do with 2x12 which is 24pin (20/4), and something else about 2x10, which isnt usable

Most new power supplies I use have 20/4 pin, the extra 4pin can be removed if not used to suit older systems, but the new boards use this

In your case, you need to get a new psu which supports 2x12 pin

You also need to go up in watts, nothing here less than 500watts.

The system is running right now lol with a 300 watt power supply and also can play some decent games with the 945g integrated card. i plugged in my gfx card and it was hot but didnt turn on. Also in bios it has an option to switch to pci express but i didnt in fear i couldnt switch bac to my integrated. MY CURRENT PSU HAS 20 pins and my mobo is 24 but it still works. Might have been something to do wit me moving the mobo over to the right. weird SO YOUR SAYING I SHOULD JUST GET A 500 WATT PSU WITH 2x12 and make it ez?
