Hello,
I would like to stick a DivX 5.x film on a CD (with Mp3 audio) but the problem is that most PCs that should play the contents probably don't have the DivX codec installed.
I suppose I could include the codec on the CD so it can be installed first, but I would prefer if it was possible to somehow autoplay the AVI file on the CD using a player with the codec built in to avoid any codec conflicts, or if the security settings or skill of the people doesn't allow the installation of divx codec permanently.
Failing a solution for divx, are there any other players that would play Mpeg1, Mpeg2, Xvid, Ogg or any other format in the same fashion?
Thanks.

mpeg1 is the only format that Windows knows how to handle "out of the box".
Take a look at MoviX - it's a complete "OS and player and movie on a CD" solution.
