Hi all you newbies out here. Like half of the world (at least it seems so), I'm interested in encoding en autoring Video too. I already experienced capturing and editing self recorded video (hi) 8 and sending it to my VHS. Some movies turned out to be quite amusing.
But this is a little more complex stuff that takes me a lot of time to understand the techniques. Over and over again I have to view the guide because it takes so many steps to get from Divx to (s)vcd. Still I don't know why the settings have to be the way they are. By browsing the glossary you'll discover a lot of things you wondered about or you thought you already knew. Now I know what a field really means and a frame and interlaced...
Have fun.
