Dear all
I am having a real time trying to copy my dvd's so that they can be played on a fusion dvd player. I bought the player before christmas and was asssured that it could play a wide range of copied dvd's. With this assurance I went out and from your website discovered how to do it using dvd decrypter, dvd2one and nero. I tried to copy onto a range of dvd+r including Traxdata,Ricoh and some others. The problem was that once copied they played on my computer and on my friends computer but not my DVD player. I thought that there may be a problem with the player so I tried a DVD film that was put directly onto a dvd-rw by my friend, the dvd-rw was the same make as the ones I had tried and this worked perfectly. Does anyone have any ideas as to the source of my problems? If you do then I would be very grateful for your help.
Cheers
Jas

EDIT: You'll find a similar problem (with an answer) by click here, and also (although I can't be sure if this is your exact model as you haven't said) this here is the compatability report for your player.
Willtgpo, my real dad, told me to make a maximum of 5,806 posts on vcdhelp.com in one lifetime. So I have. -
Cheers for the reply
I have recently gone back to the shop where I purchased the dvd player and requested that they test my dvd+r copy on another dvd player. Infact they tested it on three different ones and it still did not play. The funny thing was that when the dvd was inserted it registered that it was a dvd-video but under not circumstances would any of them play.
Thanks for the link to the other question I will try to check the bitsetting and see if changing that has any effect.
Cheers

Make sure you use the proper settings when burning with Nero
....DVD-Video compilation.... all the files (VOBs ,IFOs, BUPs) in the VIDEO_TS folder,..... -
Or try a different method say dvdshrink and then nero

If i were you mate i would go for some quality -R media, apparently they are more compatable with standalones than +R.
My backup method is DVD Decrypter / DVD2ONE / Nero 6 and never had any compatability problems with -R discs.
Go for some ritek, they are the best for compatabiliy and burn reliability.
I have tried my backups on all manner of standalones, pioneer, sony, kiiro, tosh, they all play great.
Hope this helps a little."Pull your tongue out of my ar$e hole Gary...dogs do that. Your not a dog are you Gary?"
"Err no...."
"But you do have all the characteristics of a dog Gary...all except loyalty." -
eg9jc i have the same problem, just wanted to know did you solve this or not? if yes how did you do it? thanx

Eureaka!!!
Thanks for all of the advice, I have found my problem.
When I was reading through other such examples I came accross a message that said that most none compatibility issues where caused by using earlier versions of nero. Well I decided to up grade to the latest version of nero and what do you know it works. Problem solved the dvd's play fine on the fusion 811 in DVD+r or DVD-r.
So if anyone has the same problem then I would suggest getting the latest version of nero and trying to burn with that.
Thanks again and I hope I can help others in the future.
