I just got a Epson R300 printer and have used it on Ritek 4x -R Printable discs, the results are very good, and I've always had good burns with the G04s. The only thing I don't like about the discs are the big center opening. I've seen some of the printed BeAlls that go all the way to the center hole. I've looked in the media dbase, and there isn't a lot of feedback on the BeAll's. My questions are:

1)How is the media itself burn-wise and compatability-wise?

2)Where are some online shops selling the printable ones? I know Meritline has them, but I've never ordered from them, and after seeing some of the recent threads, I'd like to check out other options.

    3) Are there any other discs that are reliable and allow printing to the center? I can do +/-R but I do prefer -R.

4)Where can I get a PhotoShop template for printing my discs with R300?

Thnx in advance for any help.

    peace.

  3. I've been using the BeAll because of the hub area with my Epson 900. I've had excellent results until just recently. I've had three coasters with my last 6 disks. All three of those came from the same batch but I hadn't had any problem with that batch previuosly. I've not determined if I've hit a bad group or if I'm having problems with my burner DVR-105.

Printing on the BeAlls is a mixed bag for me. I've had to do a lot of adjustments to get the color and correct amount of ink. They dry very slowly regardless, though some settings are much better than others. I've gone to using an overspray. They are very smooth on the surface but whenever I print and/or spray them they often look kind of speckled if held at a slant to the light.

I just order some generics from blankmedia.ca. Someone here had mentioned them, though I don't know that I ever read what the verdict was.

  4. I have bought about 500 of these BeALL dvds that are full print to center, and glossy. Always dry to the touch when done and only about half dozens coasters. Out of 500 thats pretty decent, and prints very nice.

Havent found any other dvds + or - that have the full coverage printable surface. I use an R300 too on these.

Well I got a template for cd's from BJ_M's link, I'll use it to make the image in PS than import it to Easy CD to print. Once I get a chance I'll try to make a template for PS where i can edit and print from there. I've got a bunch of junk CD, like AOL discs. I'll put printable labels on them and use them for target practice.

PS: I ordered some BeAlls from cdrdvdrmedia.com somebody mentioned that its affiliated with Meritline, so I'm curious how it will go. I'll keep ya posted.

Well, just a few updates. My order from cdrdvdrmedia.com (a meritline company) arrived without a hitch. So far I've only used a few of the BeAll discs for backup and printing, but I've got no complaints yet.
I got a PhotoShop template for R300 from the_hater it contains template in .psd format and instructions in .pdf format. The instructions are from Epson but are for Mac users, they apply to PC use too as PS is about the same on both platforms. You can d/l the zip containing both here:

For you Brits wanting BeAlls PM me and maybe we can figure a way to get you some.

    peace.
