I figure I'll start out conservative with only 2k ram. I'm going to wait to see if there are any sales at Kingston soon.

Nice. I am lucky enough to have a C64 in my posession that is one of the few (literally) that was created in the image of the C128. The main difference internally from the original C64 and the newer C128-lookalike C64 is the SID sound chip which is upgraded to C128 spec in my machine. That's apparently what makes it special.
It's very rare, I am told. I'm hanging on to it. It works perfectly and it is in flawless condition. It could (COULD) be worth a mint.
But I can play Bubble Bobble on it. No amount of money could buy THAT from me!

I have two C64's myself. What does yours look like?
One of mine is thick and like a dark brown/biege,
the other is slimer and like a modern PC biege colour.
I can't play Bubble Bobble because neither tape decks workWe'll be right back after these messages from Binford! -
I'm actually an old computer buff as well. I got that Atari 400 and 800 computers along with most of the classic gaming systems back then. Colecovision, Intellivision, Commodore VIC-20 (with the modem complete in box), TRS-80, Pong consoles, etc. I actually have Pitfall! for the Sinclair Spectrum. Was that before of after the model you mention?
