    After encoding about 10 minutes of video, virtual dub freezes, and this is when it runs full stream processing for video and audio.
    It also freezes when only video is at full stream processing and audio is at direct stream copy.
    Check my PC setup if you want.

    shouldn't Virtualdub be on the list as well, since some of us don't have lock up problems with it?

    I use different apps for different things - if all I need to do is simple cut editing or recompressing an avi, or pulling audio from a video file, Virtualdub is my first choice.

    Vegas for compositing, non-linear editing, editing with multiple audio tracks, etc.
