Capturing with DVC 150 in Ulead, Sonic, TMPGEnc, Adobe?

I recently picked up the Dazzle DVC 150 and am eager to work with it but I am running into problems. I have Pinnacle Studio QuickStart 8 but I prefer not to use that software. I have done work in the past with the Dazzle Hollywood Bridge in Ulead DVD Workshop, TMPGEnc, Adobe Premiere 6 and I also have acess to Sonic Scenerist . I would like to continue using those s/w packages but so far I'm not sure if any of these s/w are able to use the DVC 150. I did notice that DVD Workshop and Premeire see the DVC 150 in the global settings and capture sections, however, When I try to capture I see in Ulead;"Failed to initialize capture driver. Another program may be using it or the file has been moved. Cannot find the specified interface." and Premeire says,:Unable to switch to Capture Mode. Check if your capture driver is working properly. Cannot reader streaming video." Obviously, this is pointing to the drivers.

I installed the drivers that came with the DVC 150 from Pinnacle. I was going to download and install the drivers from the Pinnacle site but there is a notice on that page that the updated drivers are for use only with Studio 8. Is it possible to get the most up to date drivers for the DVC in order to use it with some of the other s/w packages I have? IF so where do I get them?

The DVC 150 is proprietary. It will only work with Pinnacle software. I bought it when it was owned by dazzle and came with a test capture utility and MovieCrap5. I almost through it away. But, after pinnacle bought it they offered Dazzle users an upgrade to Studio 8 for $30. This new software came with new drivers. The drivers only allow for Studio to work with it. I am not sure if this is the same software that came with yours but after upgrading studio 8 to 8.10 I have had no problems with captures. After the captures you can use the any other program to do what you want. Why they keep is proprietary is beyond me because it is a good device.
