    i want to buy a new dvd player and wanted advice from you experts out there to tell me which player is the best one out there right now. i need it play atleast vcd and svcd, and ofcourse dvd.

    Pioneer DVD 444 is a very good player, IMO. Also plays MP3's.

    Where can you get Pioneer DV 444? I search bestbuy.com, circuitcity.com, pricewatch.com but couldn't find it. Which local chain carries this model?

    i got mines @ Good Guys for $ 249.99 + tax . . .

    look on an auction site like ebay or yahoo for a better deal though
