    Hello all,

I have just recently started checking out some of the various MPEG-4 based codecs. I have gotten files in various versions of Divx and Xvid.

My question is what polayer do most of you use in Windows?

I get great looking video in VLC or Media Player Classic but have audio sync problem with some files. I get pretty crummy looking video with interlace artifacts with Windows Media Player 9 but the audio is always in sync. With the Divx player I get upside down video and white noise audio.

I have read Baldricks common problems sticky thread and know that to solve the Divx player probs he said to try and ditch everything and start from scratch.

Is there a particular front end that works better than others?

BTW I have the current decoders installed and VLC and MP classic are recent versions but could be 3-4 weeks old. Win Media player is up to date.

WHat I am looking for is the video quality of MPC or VLC with the audio sync stability of Win Media Player.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mike[/list]

  4. BSPLAYER is not as its name suggests.. for avi.. for mpeg2 powerdvd is unbeatable.
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.
