  1. Anyone know a way to capture jpgs from mpgs? I've been looking everywhere and the methods listed don't seem to work in XP. Basically, pausing the vid and clicking Print Screen or ctrl-Print Screen will copy the image, and then I can paste it in a bitmap editor which can convert it to jpg. This actually works great in 98. Unfortunately, in XP it doesn't. The pic is "unstable". Not only does it come out wrong, it moves for **** sake.

Anyways, maybe there's a specialty prog, or something that can do this seemingly simple thing. Basically I suppose, to just remove one frame from the mpg? Thanks..

To do this in Virtualdub, open your video and go to the frame you want to capture. On the Video menu select "Copy Frame To Clipboard". Then open Paint(you can find it under All Programs>Accessories) and select "Paste" on the Edit menu.
