according to the dvd player lists, some people have had joy in getting the cv52 to play dvd+r/rw. i have let my housemate use my burner for his dvds and tried a few settings and tried them in my player and they don't work. i have tried imation +r and +rw.
i'm not that bothered but have some of the above disks that i got cheap and would like to use them. some of the comments about the player mention mode 2. i have looked around the burning software i have used, such as nero, and cannot see anywhere to change from mode one.
in dvdxcopy platinum there is an option to 'force dvd-rom booktype' which looks promising but cannot be checked.
i have only recently got my dvd burner so am getting used to the programs and settings.
thanks for any advice on if it is possible to get them to play
