I'm having a problem with MyDVD. I'm not sure it this is a limitation of the software or if I just need to do something differently. The DVD is a Wedding ceremony and reception.

The DVD I'm creating has a top menu and a submenu. Both the top menu and the submenu have movie clips but in reality there's just one movie clip of the wedding ceremony and the reception. The submenu provides a way to jump into various parts of the wedding ceremony.

The top menu has one button for the submenu and one "movie clip" button for the Wedding Reception. The intent is that users should be able to go to the submenu and view various parts of the Ceremony but if they leave the DVD playing, it should continue on to the reception - it's all a single mpeg file, it's just that the various buttons go to various "trimmed clips" from within the single large clip.

    Here's the problem:
Within the "ceremony" submenu, the various clips will continue playing into each other. In other words, no matter where the user jumps into the Ceremony, it will continue playing to the end (even into other clips). But when it comes to the Reception (the button for which is located on the Main Menu ) it stops playing and the user has to navigate the menu to the top level and click the "reception" button - even though it's all one big MPEG file and the reception starts exactly where the ceremony ends (just as the various trimmed clips within the ceremony are consecutive).

Does anyone know if this is a limitation of the software, or if not, if there's something I can do to make the movie continue to the consecutive segment located in a higher menu ?

    Thanks,
    Patrick

P.S. I've also tried DVD lab (looking for an economical alternative to MyDVD) but DVD Lab has problems with audio.

    Nevermind....

...This problem has been solved.... I've stopped using MyDVD and switched to the far superior "TMPGEnc DVD Author". It seems to be an outstanding piece of software.
