I am trying to prep VCD's for a DVDR. When I de-multiplex a file it stops at 39% which is 258MB. I don't get any error messages, It just stops like it had finished.
I tried the standard "de-multiplex? and the "simple de-multiplex" and get the same problem.
I had this happen one time before and did not fix but have done it many times with no such problem.
What gives?

I split the video where it was stopping and cut a small section out. Then I demultiplex each file seperately. Worked OK but now missing that section. Must be bad sectors.
I just thought I would repost in case anyone else had same problem. In your ear with a can of beer, Up your nose with a rubber hose.

Thanks for updating the situation.
I am curing some problems with my captures by cutting out the bad spots in the tape. I am using Cut Editing in TMPGenc. I have captures several tapes many times learning to setup my hardware and learn the software. It seems the dropped frames come at the same place on the tape. they are also preceeded by audio sync errors (VT Adjust).
Every little clue helps.
