Have you seen these on ebay? These wrestling dvd's that someone or some company created and they seem to be selling lots on ebay? These obviously have to be captured and encoded since they're not licensed by the WWE or anything. does anyone know where the suppliers are from? I'm just curious as to know their capture/encode methods because I want to convert wrestling vhs tapes to dvd. Especially those WCW PPV's since they are not available on dvd. I've converted a couple but I heard these have really damn good quality. Maybe these are produced in asia or somewhere overseas and burnt to dvd-9 media?

Define "really good quality." As compared to what? I see people on eBay saying that their VCDs are "really good quality." It's probably stuff capped from commercial tapes or stuff from old VHS tapes. Mine were always recorded in VHS SP from satellite so for VHS, they are "really good quality." Compared to say laserdiscs or DVDs, they are marginal and are downright lousy compared to my new caps either using my ATI ALL In Wonder 7500 or my Panasonic E80 in XP or SP. Id ask for a sample first...

Always get a sample first, and I mean a real disc, not some download or a screen cap.

Isn't that illegal. I mean, converting your old PPV tapes (c'mon, we all have them) to DVD is one thing. But selling a bunch of copies on eBay? eBay is allowing this?
