  1. New to the burning arena.

Am able to burn a DVD any format -r;+r;+rw and play it on my JVC. I have however been completely unsuccessful getting a SVCD to play on the JVC. I created the data files for the SVCD with intervideo and then used record now to transfer them. I used this technique for DVD also. The SVCD plays fine in my computer. I am using the iomega SuperDVD USB burner. I even tried using my older HP CD burner to create the SVCD but still no luck. The JVC player just says not valid format or something.

I appreciate any help or suggestions.

  2. I should add that I am burning the following 4 directory structures to the root of the CD-R media

    EXT
    MPEGAV
    SEGMENT
    SVCD

Plays fine and is recognized as a video disc in several of my computers.
