  1. Hello
    My friend have standalone home dvd recorder Yamaha.(Desktop DVD Recorder)
    I cant copy a dvd movie wich is burned with Yamaha
    I try with NERO , DVD Decrypter , Clone DVD and more, and nothing.
    Why I cant copy the VIDEO TS folder in win. explorer from dvd to hdd.
    This problem is not only on my computer I try this on 5 computer and its the same problem.
    And when I play movie with PowerDVD on my PC and desktop DVD player it play normaly.
    Does Yamaha put some kind of protection or what?
    Please help!!!!!!!!

  2. You could try ripping it like a retail DVD. With DVD shrink or DVD Decrypeter. And I dont think it would be even possible for a standalone or any consumer dvd burner to add copy protection? Though I could be wrong.

    Try doing an ISO copy with DVD Decrypter, rather than doing an IFO or FILE rip. It will both rip and burn the DVD. This should work unless the data on the Yamaha disc is more than 4.37gb.

    my phillips 880 is the same i have to copy it by doing a straight disk to disk without copying to harddrive give that a go
