Used ULEAD PICTURE SHOW to make a family slideshow when burned to a DVD+RW and played on standalone dvd players it has audio problems. It would play fine on pc. But the audio stops intermittently throughout the slideshow when played on standalone dvd players. Has anyone used this program to make slideshows? I would appreciate any comments. Thanks in advance.

I use that proggy quite often myself. No problems with playing the end product (either on CD or DVD).

It's probably your burner or your player. Have you tried it on other standalones?

Thanks for replying. I have 6 standalone dvd players. The first one I did as I've mentioned had audio problems. I don't think it's my burner or standalone dvd players. I'm going to start all over using ULEAD PICTURESHOW. I'll redo the whole slideshow and see what happens. I used ULEAD MOVIE FACTORY to do some capturing from vhs tape and it came out great! So it can't be my burner.

Did you use the ULEAD PICTURESHOW to also burn your slideshow? I used ULEAD'S program to burn the slideshow. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

  4. Which specific type of audio file did you use?

    .MP3?

    .WAV?

What were the specific properties of the audio file?

In Ulead DVD PictureShow 2, .WAV files work best.

I used a wav but it was compressed wav file that I had used on a different slideshow program. I'll try to use a regular wav file. Thanks for replying. I'll let you know how it turns out.

  6. I have had this with myDVD and Ulead Movie Factory 2. In the slideshow section the audio stuttered each time the picture changed. I tried it with MP3 and Wav files and it made no difference.

I only had the problem in my standalone DVD player and it was ok in my computer DVD player.

In the end I created it as VCD and the slideshow ran ok in both.

What am I doing wrong for this to happen on the DVD's.

    Cheers

Had the same problem as bif using mp3s with MyDvd and it about drove me crazy. I converted the sound files to aif and it worked perfectly. I suspect it has something to do with the conversion process of the mp3s. I've used Picture Show 2 with mp3s ok ....but occassionally one of the burns will turn flakey on the sound.

Ulead's DVD write engine is flaky, try the NTI write engine instead.Better yet make DVD folders or an ISO image in PS and use your favorite burn software(eg RecordNow,Nero, etc).
