  1. Hi all, i'm trying to archive some old vhs movies onto dvd using MyDVD 4.04. I have a sony 500A burner and an ati rage fury pro 32mb with rca video and s-video in. I plugged in the vhs into the rca video and the rca audios from vhs into the line-in on my sound card. I'm using ati's MMC 7.2 software to capture the video and audio. I'm getting 1.82Gb mp2 file from a 40mins video clip. I choose 6000kps bit rate and 352X480 resolution.

Long story short, i captured 2 segments of 40 mins, saved them as mp2 files, and imported them into MyDVD 4.0. I then attempted to click burn, but found out that the burn button is greyed out.

Can somebody help me out with this problem? i'm not sure where i did wrong.

    Thanks very much!

Are you sure you didn't select VCD instead of DVD? VCD would limit your file size to 650 MB ... or thereabouts. You might try capturing with VirtualDub and then dragging the resulting avi into MyDvd instead ... that works for me. Also you might want to capture at 720 x 480 for better end quality.
