  2. I bought Ritek Go4 50 pack at allmediaoutlet.com for like $1 a disc. They shipped and delivered to my house quickly too. [/url]

  3. Staples has Imation 25pk DVD-R and +R for $29.99 this week. THe great part is that there is no rebate. The bad part is that the packaging and ad doesn't say what speed they are. Does anybody know?

  4. And the point of having www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdmedia is useless?

  5. I was also looking for which media it is. The media section has 12 different listings for Imation and 3 for DVD+R that I'm interested in. There are Ricoh and CMC Media codes. I'm hoping that these are going to be Ricoh then I'll go back and buy more.

  6. With retail DVDr's you can bet that if the package does NOT say 4x then it is either 1x or 2x. I have yet to ever hear of 4x retail discs that did NOT have 4x on the packaging.

The point of THAT thread is DVDr compatability NOT deals on DVDr's as this thread was started for!

    So, how about Office Max?

    Khypermedia 25 pack -R, 44.99, 10 instant, 34.99, 30 mail-in rebate, final 4.99.
    And, Imation DVD+RW, 5 pack, 19.99, 15 mail-in rebate, 4.99 final.

They were out when I got there this PM, Sunday, but gave me a raincheck on both.

They also have Imation 100 pack CD-R, 35-10 instant, 25 mail-in, final 0, all out, were subbing Maxell 100 at 20 bucks cash, 20 mail-in rebate, cost 0.

Them I bought. Like I really, really need another 100 CD-Rs to add to the stash.

The +RWs were all I really wanted. Have only the one that came with my LiteOn 411s, didn't want to pay 4 bucks apiece for them.

    Cheers,

    George

    Lordsmurf,

Problem seems to be you never know what you're getting till you open the pack and read them.

I understand the "Made in Japan" on one brand is a near guarantee, but pipple keep saying they bought this, opened it and "Surprise, surprise", I got that, which is good.

As long as they're buying from only 3 or 4 makers ( the vendors, I mean ), seems like what you get is just the luck of the draw.

I'll read 'em when I get 'em, let you know what they are. Mebbe I'll luck out.

    Cheers,

    George

  12. Damn, they wouldn't give ME a raincheck for those 25pack spindle KHypermedias. They probably only had the minimum required on the shelf to escape bait-and-switch accusations. Lord Smurf, are you saying the Ks are CMC? If so I was lucky. Last ones I got were in jewel cases, and were TDKs.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

  13. My Imation +R's ended up being 2.4X (according DVD Decryptor). I burnt a DVD last night and it plays smoothly. I'm guessing they're Ricoh.

  14. I stay with what I know works.

Thats Sony media on a Sony unit

But I also use 1x Accu media which the sony writes perfectly @2x. Price gets cheaper each time, first time I ordered them they were $100+ per hundred, then $74 & today, just $66 per hundred.
