For some odd reason when I burn my backups with Nero, I have to use the "DVD-ROM" (UDF). When I try the "DVD Video", or the "DVD-ROM" (ISO/UDF) it gives a disk read error in my stand alone DVD player. Its odd that I can use the "DVD-Rom" (udf), and get it working on my own DVD player, but when I try it someone else's DVD player they get a Disc error? Have any idea? I also have used the record now max with all the steps and it still gives me a disc error on my DVD player. My stand alone is a Toshiba sd-1800. Older model but still should read these things.

Some players will read different things. If I try using the UDF mode on mine, they choke. DVD-Video mode works on about 4 different Sony's and 2 Panasonics that I have access to.
