Both my father and I have TV Wonders. His picture was awful. When I tried to tighten the cable coax connector it wouldn't tighten. I removed the card from the computer and noticed that the coax connector was actually an adapter that plugs into the rf modulator. Then it is soldered to the tin case of the modulator. This solder joint had cracked and allowed the adapter to become partially unplugged. I pushed the adapter back in and re-soldered the connection to get a substantially better picture. My unit seems to be okay but I can vary the picture quality by wiggling the coax. I have replaced the coax connectors with professional connectors on RG6 cable. Has anyone else experienced this flaw? Is there more that can be done to increase the integrity of the connection?
