4 films on a DVD

I have been doing vcd and svcd etc for quiet some time and have recently purched a dvd writer. So far i have just used it for dvd copying, but last week i was told it is possible to put 4 vcd or svcd films onto 1 dvd. The dvd starts with a screen showing the cover of all 4 films and you simply select the one you want to watch. How is this possible ? thanks.

I doubt this is the only way, but i use tmpgenc dvd author to put vcd films onto 1 dvdr and use its menu templates so i can select which ever movie i want to watch.
